Suggested 7 Day Port Campbell Tour Itinerary

DAY 1note2

1 Visit Port Campbell Visitor Information Centre; for maps, pamphlets and friendly advice. Ask about the Craters to Coast Discovery activities. Free family fun. Meander through the Port Campbell village; pick up supplies at Port Campbell Shopping, visit shops and local cafés. 2 Swim at Port Campbell Bay. 3 Walk the Discovery Walk to Two Mile Bay. Accessible also from the Scenic Lookout 3.6km return walk.4 Enjoy a ‘Prickly Moses’ local beer on tap at 12 Rocks Cafe Beach Bar ;watching the sunset over the bay.

DAY 2note3

5 Visit The 12 Apostles at sunrise. Best photo opportunity 1½ hours after sunrise. 6 Walk down Gibson Steps and along the beach. Photograph the 12 Apostles from the beach. 7 Sample and indulge Belgian Chocolate from G.O.R.G.E. Chocolates ;open 7 days 10am–5pm, +6135598 8125. DAY 3note4

Dinner available Friday and Saturday evening. Bookings essential. 15 Ride or walk the Timboon Rail Trail. Try a 10km round trip from the Timboon Rail Shed to the stunning Trestle Bridge. DAY 4note5

Spend the morning fishing at a selection of great fishing spots (amateur fishing licence required). 17 Curdies River at Curdievale. 18 Peterborough Estuary or beach. 19 Gellibrand River Estuary Princetown. 20 Drop a line in at the Port Campbell Pier. 21 Trout and Salmon at Lake Bullen Merri and Lake Purrumbete near Camperdown. Explore the fabulous coastline from the air with a helicopter flight at either; 22 The Apostles with 12 Apostles Helicopters ;Great Ocean Road +613 5598 8283 or 23 Apostle Coast Aviation ;Peterborough Airfield, Great Ocean Road +614 2795 9019. 24 Head north shop for antiques at Pombo Mart;Pomborneit +613 5594 7312 and on return stay for a gourmet lunch or sample local ale at 25 Red Duck Provedore; Camperdown +613 5593 3303. 26 Take the kids for a Sunday drive to Cobden Miniature Railway; (3rd Sunday of every month)

DAY 5note6

27 Take scenic boat tour, dive or fishing trip with Port Campbell Boat Charters ;+614 2898 6366. Head West of Port Campbell. Visit 28 The Arch, 29 London Bridge and 30 The Grotto in the Port Campbell National Park; 31 Bay of Martyrs and 32 Bay of Islands in Bay Of Islands Coastal Park. 33 Visit Flagstaff Hill Maritime Museum ;in Warrnambool or return in the evening for a spectacular ‘Shipwrecked’ sound and light show 1800 556 111 or +613 5559 4620. 34 Spot an Emu, Kangaroo and Koala at Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve;. Visit Worn Gundidj Visitor Centre and learn how to throw an Aboriginal boomerang. Parks Victoria 13 19 63.

DAY 6note7

35 Day trip to Cape Otway Lightstation; +613 5237 9240. See Koalas in the wild on the road to the lighthouse. 36 Continue your adventure at the Otway Treetop Walk (Otway Fly);or try the new Zip Line Tour (Bookings essential) Otway Fly 1800 300 477. 37 Great Ocean Road Wildlife Park has an array of native fauna +613 5237 5262. 38 Visit Wreck Beach and experience evidence of shipwrecks. 40 Walk along Serpentine Wetland Boardwalk at Princetown. 41 OR Stay for the Glow Worms on the rainforest walk at Melba Gully State Park Parks Victoria 131 963.

DAY 7note1

42 Visit the Historical Museum at Port Campbell. Open most days 11am –3pm. 20 Watch the fisherman at Port Campbell pier bring in our local catch Southern Rock Lobster. 43 Enjoy a BBQ at the playground at Port Campbell or Peterborough. 44 Explore Loch Ard Gorge 3.5km of walking tracks and view Mutton Birds returning at dusk (Seasonal Nov– Mar) 45 Sunset at London Bridge or 12 Apostles and see Little Penguins just on dark.
